Sei que hei-de ficar sempre pasmada. Sempre que tiver à minha frente a escrita mágica de Mia Couto. Sempre.
"Não era tristeza. Era um vazio. Os tristes têm um céu. Cinzento, mas céu. Os desesperados têm um deserto. Meu pai olhava para trás: era mais o esquecido que o vivido. O que não lembrava era porque se esquecera de viver? Ou tudo tinha ficado lá, na mina que desmoronou? Quando se cruzava comigo, de pijama, a meio do dia, meu pai se justificava:
- Sua mãe quer que eu faça dessas coisas que criam alma na pessoa. Só que ela não entende: se eu estou vivo é porque não tenho alma nenhuma.
E agora, olhando-o sob aquele estilhaçado luar, me pareceu que meu pai não era senão poeira entre poeiras de Lua." (pag. 15)
